Located in the southern part of the Honggutan District in Nanchang, the Nanchang International Sports Center served as the main stadium for the 7th National Intercity Games of the People's Republic of China in 2011. Representing world-class standards in both design and construction, the complex covers a total land area of 21 hectares with a gross floor area of 258,000 square meters. The stadium features a seating capacity of 60,000 spectators. It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies, track and field competitions, and the football finals of the Intercity Games. Following the Games, it has become a major professional venue where the citizens of Nanchang can actively participate in sports and enjoy sports-related entertainment, standing as a landmark, world-class sports architectural icon.
