Dream Town is situated in the Cangqian Subdistrict of Yuhang District. Covering an area of approximately 3 square kilometers, its construction officially commenced in September 2014, and a pilot zone spanning 170,000 square meters is poised to become operational. Dream Town encompasses two primary components: the Internet Entrepreneurship Town and the Angel Investment Town. On May 24, 2018, Dream Town was recognized as one of China's "Top 50 Most Beautiful Characteristic Towns.

The core area of Dream Town spans approximately 3 square kilometers. It is anchored by the profound historical heritage embodied by the former residence of Zhang Taiyan and the "Four-Noes Granary," as well as a natural ecosystem that allows for "free wandering between the contemplative and the active realms." Furthermore, it is bolstered by the open, inclusive, innovative, and service-oriented administrative ecosystem of the Science and Technology City, and driven by an industrial ecosystem characterized by the presence of Alibaba's headquarters and a concentrated hub of financial resources. Through the establishment of "makerspaces," O2O service systems, and a comprehensive "nursery + incubator + accelerator" incubation chain, Dream Town strives to cultivate a more vibrant and dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem. Its mission is to empower university graduates—individuals who possess "dreams, passion, knowledge, and creativity," yet lack "capital, experience, market access, and support"—to create something out of nothing, thereby transforming their entrepreneurial "dreams into wealth.
